The younger brother of a former Clemson star is hitting the portal.

Belmont standout sophomore Cade Tyson has entered the NCAA transfer portal, TCI confirmed.

He is the younger brother of former Clemson All-ACC forward Hunter Tyson, who was selected by the Denver Nuggets in the second round (37th overall) of the 2023 NBA Draft.

The younger Tyson was a second-team All-Missouri Valley Conference Selection this season, when he averaged 16.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game across 31 games (31 starts).

The 6-foot-7 guard/forward shot 49 percent from the field and and 47 percent from 3-point range.

We can tell you Clemson’s staff is aware of his transfer portal entry and is focused on Thursday’s Sweet 16 matchup against Arizona.
