Shipley Sees Dream Come True In NFL Draft

Former Clemson all-purpose back Will Shipley saw his dream come true on Saturday when his name was called in the 2024 NFL draft.

Shipley was drafted with the 127th overall pick in the fourth round by the Philadelphia Eagles.

During his Clemson career from 2021-23, Shipley racked up 2,748 yards and 31 touchdowns on 526 rushing attempts to go with 602 yards and two touchdowns on 85 receptions across 36 games.

Shipley made an instant impact as a freshman in 2021 and followed that campaign with a 2022 season in which he became the first player in ACC history to be selected as a first-team All-ACC honoree in three different categories (running back, all-purpose and specialist) and was one of four finalists for the Paul Hornung Award (nation’s most versatile player).

During the 2023 season, Shipley rushed 167 times for 827 yards and five touchdowns while catching 31 passes for 244 yards and two receiving touchdowns in 12 games.

Last season, the 5-foot-11, 210-pounder became the ninth player in school history to score 30 career touchdowns and the eighth player at Clemson ever to rush for 30 touchdowns.
