Hall Showcases Athleticism, Shooting at NBA Combine

The NBA Combine is upon us and former Clemson Tiger PJ Hall is making a statement as he makes the next step.

During the measurables, Hall came in at 6-foot-8, a bit of a low number but his athleticism made up for it. He had a 39.5-inch vertical, something not surprising given some of his highlight dunks at Littlejohn Coliseum.

During his Clemson career, Hall averaged over 15 points for three seasons and was a first-team All-ACC player as a senior. That’s when his shooting took a big step.

While he was a 39.8 percent shooter from behind the arc as a junior, Hall took 4.5 threes per game as a senior. The numbers fell to 31.5 percent but the volume showed the steps he took.

Now at the combine, Hall performed well in a timed drill.

Hall was 10-for-12 from behind the arc in the video and he didn’t participate in scrimmages Monday. Given the size increase in the NBA, Hall’s evolution on the wing could define his stock.

The 2024 NBA Draft takes place June 26 and Hall is expected to be selected and a strong showing this week will help those efforts.
