Clemson wide receiver found the end zone on Saturday to help his team punch its ticket to the UFL Championship Game.
In the first-ever UFL playoffs, former Tiger standout Amari Rodgers – now a member of the Birmingham Stallions – scored on a 7-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter that gave the Stallions their first lead (24-18) over the Michigan Panthers in the USFL Conference Championship Game.
After facing a 15-point deficit in the first half, Birmingham ended up beating the Panthers, 31-18.
With the win, Rodgers and his Stallions team (which also features former Clemson WR Deon Cain) earned a spot in the UFL Championship Game on June 16, when they will take on either the St. Louis Battlehawks or San Antonio Brahmas.
The Battlehawks and Brahmas will do battle on Sunday night, when they square off for the XFL Conference title and final championship game spot.
