Where Clemson Landed in Mac Lain’s Latest ACC Power Rankings

This week, a former Clemson standout and current analyst released his ACC power rankings entering Week 3 of the college football season.

ACC Network’s Eric Mac Lain, the former Tiger and All-ACC offensive lineman, slotted Clemson at No. 3 in the latest power rankings he released on social media.

The Tigers (1-1) checked in behind Miami (2-0) at No. 1 and Louisville (2-0) at No. 2, while Boston College (2-0, 1-0 ACC) and Syracuse (2-0, 1-0 ACC) round out the current top five behind Clemson in Mac Lain’s power rankings.

Following this weekend’s open date, Clemson (No. 20 Coaches Poll, No. 22 AP Poll) will return to Death Valley on Sept. 21 for its ACC opener vs. NC State (1-1), which is No. 13 in Mac Lain’s power rankings.

After the matchup with the Wolfpack, the Tigers will host a Sept. 28 Homecoming contest vs. Stanford (1-1), which is No. 15 in Mac Lain’s power rankings.

Clemson will then travel to play on Oct. 5 at Florida State (0-2, 0-2 ACC), which landed last in Mac Lain’s power rankings out of the 17 teams in the ACC.
