CLEMSON – The No. 21 Tigers (1-1) host NC State (2-1) on Saturday in what is the ACC opener for both teams.
While the Wolfpack have won two of the past three in the series, Clemson has won 16 of the past 19, with the Tigers having won the last nine matchups in Death Valley. The last time NC State won at Death Valley was back in 2002.
As The Clemson Insider has already reported, DE Peter Woods is not dressed for pregame warmups. He will miss the contest with an injury suffered in the win over App State. Head coach Dabo Swinney called Woods as day-to-day throughout the week.
CB Corian Gipson, OL Dietrick Pennington, OL Collin Sadler are all out along with Woods. Swinney announced Pennington would miss the rest of the season earlier this week.
Sadler could potentially be a big loss. The sophomore has seen a lot of time over the first two games. Although, Marcus Tate is expected to return today after missing the App State game.
WR Tyler Brown is on the field for pregame warmups with his ankle heavily taped.
No. 45 LS Philip Florenzo is expected to wear No. 95 in today’s contest.
