Swinney Updates Injury Status on Wesco, Sadler, Capehart

CLEMSON — Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney updated the injury status of three key players for the 17th-ranked Tigers, who host Stanford Saturday (7 p.m., ESPN) at Memorial Stadium.

In last week’s win over NC State, offensive linemen Collin Sadler did not play due to a calf injury, while wide receiver Bryant Wesco and defensive tackle DeMonte Capehart were banged up during the game.

Here are the latest updates on the three players from Swinney during Tuesday’s weekly press conference.

On Wesco’s status for Saturday’s game:

“Wesco is back. He is practicing. He is just a little sore. Probably, if we had to have him, we could have put him back in the game. We just held him out.”

On Sadler’s status for Saturday’s game:

“Collin is going to be day-to-day.”

On Capehart status for Saturday’s game:

“He is doing better, too.”
