Watch: Klubnik Interview on Jim Rome Show

Clemson’s star signal-caller, Cade Klubnik, made an appearance Wednesday on The Jim Rome Show.

The junior quarterback discussed a number of different topics, and Rome wrapped up the interview by asking Klubnik what it would mean to him to get consideration for the Heisman Trophy — and perhaps the chance to attend the Heisman ceremony in New York City if he were to be a finalist for college football’s most prestigious award.

“That’d be really special, but to be honest, I’m not even giving two thoughts to that right now,” Klubnik said. “I’m trying to be the best quarterback I can be during this next bye week and get ready for Louisville. That’s my thought process, and try to push my team to be even better than we were last week, because we’ve still got to get better. We’ve got to be better than we were last week, I’ve got to be better than I was last week. So, that’s my thought process and where I’m trying to go.”

Klubnik has put up stellar numbers through seven games this season, completing 66.7 percent of his passes for 1,836 yards and 20 touchdowns with just three interceptions, to go with 227 rushing yards and four more scores on the ground.
