Update on Injured Clemson Defensive Lineman

It appears that Clemson will be without at least one of its starting defensive linemen when the Tigers face off with Virginia Tech on Saturday.

DeMonte Capehart, who left the loss to Louisville injured, is not listed on the depth chart Clemson released ahead of this weekend’s matchup against the Hokies. Payton Page and Tre Williams are listed as the starters.

Head coach Dabo Swinney called Capehart “week-to-week” during his weekly Zoom call on Sunday.

The 6-foot-5, 315-pound fifth-year senior has become a staple along the Tigers’ defensive front. Through eight games he has registered 15 tackles and one tackle for loss in 198 snaps. Capehart has started in six of the eight games.
