It is looking like Clemson will get a key member of the defense back for Saturday’s rivalry game against South Carolina.
Veteran linebacker, Wade Woodaz, who has missed the past two contests, is trending in the right direction, according to head coach Dabo Swinney.
“He’s better,” Swinney said during his weekly press conference on Tuesday. “It was really, really bad. Just took a long time to loosen up to where he could even walk. Just drained in his leg, all the fluid and stuff.”
The junior linebacker has missed the wins over Pitt and The Citadel with a severe contusion on his leg. Woodaz leads the team with 65 tackles and has 6.5 tackles for loss with two sacks.
“He was actually able to practice yesterday,” Swinney said. “And he should get better each day. He is able to move around and run around, but still not 100%, but he was able to practice.”
