Sunday Tre Williams Injury Update

CLEMSON — Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney met with the media Sunday afternoon to discuss the Tigers’ first-round playoff game against No. 5 Texas in the College Football Playoff.

Swinney was asked about the injury situation surrounding defensive tackle Tre Williams, who was injured in the third quarter of Clemson’s 34-31 win over SMU Saturday night in the ACC Championship Game.

“He seemed fine today,” Swinney said when asked about Williams’ injury. “I haven’t gotten any complete update yet from our trainer. But he seemed good today.”

Williams has played in all 13 games for the Tigers and has started three of them. He came into the SMU you game with 14 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, two pass breakups and two quarterback pressures.

Clemson and the Longhorns will play at 4 p.m., in Austin, Texas on Dec. 21.
