Clemson Basketball Bounces Back with win Over Wake

Clemson got 16 points from Chase Hunter, while Jake Heidbreder came off the bench to score 15 points, as No. 25 Clemson ran away from Wake Forest, 73-62, Saturday at Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson.

The win over the Demon Deacons (9-4, 1-1 ACC) snapped the Tigers’ two-game losing streak.

Besides Hunter and Heidbreder, the Tigers also got 13 points and 7 rebounds from Ian Schieffelin, 13 points from Victor Lakhin and 12 points from Jaeden Zackery. Lakhin also added six assists.

Clemson (10-3, 2-0 ACC) led 40-31 at the break. After a slow start, the Tigers went on an 18-5 run to grab a 30-15 lead with 5:38 to play in the first half.

Heidbreder came off the bench to connect on all of his attempts and free throws. He finished the half with 13 points to lead the Tigers.
