A big-time talent from Alabama is now in the portal.
Crimson Tide linebacker Jeremiah Alexander has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Alexander hails from Thompson High School (Alabaster, Ala.) — the same school that Clemson defensive lineman Peter Woods attended. The two were teammates at Thompson, and both were rated as five-star prospects (Alexander in the 2022 recruiting class, Woods in the 2023 class).
Shortly after the reports of Alexander entering the portal, Woods took to social media with the following post:

Alexander, who spent three years at Alabama, began his career with the Crimson Tide in 2022 when he appeared in four games with one tackle while redshirting. An inside backer, Alexander moved to the outside to start the 2023 season, when he totaled three tackles in 14 games, primarily on special teams. In 2024, he missed the first three games of the season recovering from injury and posted five tackles in 10 games.
The 6-foot-2, 249-pounder was the nation’s No. 1 edge defender and No. 18 overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting class, per the 247Sports Composite.
