A former 5-star Clemson target is set to visit Clemson.
Alabama transfer Jeremiah Alexander tells The Clemson Insider that he will visit Clemson on Tuesday. Alexander spent his first three years with the Crimson Tide, with most of his action coming on special teams. He visited Auburn on Saturday.
The 6-foot-2, 249-pounder played linebacker at Alabama, but was recruited by Clemson as a defensive end coming out of high school. Alexander hails from the same high school (Thompson, AL) as current Clemson standout Peter Woods.
In 2022 Alexander appeared in four games with one tackle while redshirting. An inside backer, Alexander moved to the outside to start the 2023 season, when he totaled three tackles in 14 games, primarily on special teams. In 2024, he missed the first three games of the season recovering from injury and posted five tackles in 10 games.
Alexander was the nation’s No. 1 edge defender and No. 18 overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting class, per the 247Sports Composite. He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
