Georgia’s starting quarterback is headed into the transfer portal.
After four seasons as a Bulldog, Carson Beck is looking for a new program. He suffered an injury in the SEC Championship and did not play in Georgia’s loss to Notre Dame in the College Football playoff. The news was first reported by On3Sports’ Pete Nakos.

Beck has 7,912 passing yards, 63 total touchdowns and 20 interceptions over his four seasons. The NFL Draft was an option, but Beck is electing to bet on himself in a fifth season. He’ll add a wealth of experience to wherever he decides to go next.
For the Bulldogs, Gunnar Stockton will likely take over the starting role. He had 234 passing yards and a touchdown in the Sugar Bowl loss.
