Higgins Raised Price Tag for 2025

The phrase ‘betting on yourself’ doesn’t always work out for even some of the best in the NFL. For a former Clemson Tiger, it couldn’t have gone much better.

Tee Higgins played the 2024 season on the franchise tag, awaiting a potential extension from the Cincinnati Bengals. He delivered with 73 catches for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns over just 12 games.

If there was any doubt of how important Higgins is, he dropped the mic with a three-touchdown game Dec. 28 in an overtime win. He’s playing with arguably the best receiver in football in Ja’Marr Chase, but that won’t lower his price.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor is well aware of that and spoke highly of Higgins in hopes to bring him back for the long-term.

“We’ve got a lot of great players, and Tee’s one of them certainly. I’m very hopeful that that’ll work out to where we are able to get him back,” Taylor said.

After making over $21 million in 2024, Higgins is in for a big payday whether it be from Cincinnati or the highest bidder.
