Clemson has zeroed in on its next running back target.
Four-star Carsyn Baker (Langston Hughes, Fairburn, GA) announced the offer while on an unofficial visit on Monday. It was his first visit to campus and he was accompanied by his mother.
“I really want to see how coach Spiller gets down with the running backs, how he does it,” Baker told TCI recently. “Get around with the rest of the coaching staff and keep building the relationship. Looking at the campus because I have never been. Talk to a couple of players and see how it is out there.”
Baker is just the second back in the 2026 class to pick up an offer from the Tigers.
The 6-foot-0, 200-pound back has 50 offers, including Texas A&M, Ohio State, Georgia, Kentucky and South Carolina, to name just a few.
Baker rushed for 1,282 yards as a junior with 13 touchdowns. He had six games with more than 100 yards on the ground and averaged 8.8 yards per carry. Rivals ranks him No. 169 overall and No. 10 among all running backs.
