The Clemson men’s basketball team has lost another player to the transfer portal.
The Clemson Insider confirmed that freshman guard Del Jones has entered the transfer portal.
Jones becomes the second Clemson player to enter his name into the portal since the season came to an end last Thursday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, joining forward Asa Thomas.
Jones averaged 3.8 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game while shooting 40.3 percent from the field as a freshman for the Tigers this past season. He appeared in 32 games and averaged 11.8 minutes per contest.
Jones was a four-star prospect in the 2024 recruiting class according to ESPN, which ranked him as the No. 32 point guard nationally
The Landover, Md., native and Arizona Compass Prep product chose Clemson over Arizona State, Oregon, Seton Hall and West Virginia.
Jones played for Team Durant on the EYBL Circuit and averaged 10.8 points, 4.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game.
