Elite-Level QB Set to Visit Clemson on Saturday

Clemson is set to host a number of 2027 prospects this weekend, with one of those being one of the top quarterbacks in the class.

Four-star Peyton Houston (Evangel Christian Academy, Shreveport, LA) tells The Clemson Insider that he plans to visit and attend a spring practice on Saturday. The 6-foot, 195-pound signal caller is considered one of the top players in the class, regardless of position.

As a sophomore, Houston totaled 5,170 yards of total offense. His 4,480 passing yards are a 5A record in the state of Louisiana and he also set an NFHS record with 817 passing yards in one game. Houston was a sophomore MaxPreps All-American and first-team All-State.

Houston is already approaching the 30-offer mark, including Georgia, Tennessee, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Oklahoma and Michigan. Clemson won’t start offering players in the 2027 class until the summer.

Rivals ranks Houston as the fifth-best player in the class and No. 2 among all quarterbacks.
