Clemson Basketball Set to Host Portal Target

Brad Brownell has been busy since Clemson’s season ended in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

With four key players having exhausted eligibility and four more scholarship players entering the portal, Brownell is basically having to rebuild his roster.

The Clemson Insider already reported on portal targets Nick Davidson (Nevada) and Carter Welling (Utah Valley) visiting this weekend. Now TCI has confirmed a third target is set to visit.

Valparasio forward Cooper Schwieger will be in Clemson on Sunday. He is ranked as the 10th-best power forward in the portal.

As a sophomore, the 6-foot-10, 235-pounder started 34 games, averaging 15.8 points and 7.8 rebounds per contest. He shot 48.9% from the field and 30% from three-point land.

For his career, Schwieger has averaged 14.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in 65 games.
