A five-star specialist who committed to Clemson earlier this year has flipped to Florida State.
Long snapper Alex Nocco announced the flip on Sunday.
Nocco was planning to enroll at Clemson this summer and go on scholarship in January. He told TCI in a previous interview that the plan was to serve in some kind of student role for the 2025 season.
At Florida State, he will join the team immediately as a PWO.
“FSU has offered me the opportunity to be on the roster starting this summer rather than waiting until 2026,” Nocco told The Clemson Insider. “I appreciate that I get to compete now rather than wait. Also, I have the ability to play in my home state, and with my academic scores, I have Bright Futures, which is a Florida scholarship that pays my tuition.”
Nocco is ranked a 5-star by Rubio Long Snapping, rating as the 12th-best long snapper in the nation. overall.
