The Clemson men’s basketball team has lost another player to the portal.
The Clemson Insider has confirmed that center Christian Reeves has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Reeves played in 29 games for the Tigers as a redshirt sophomore this past season, making one start.
The 7-foot-2, 253-pounder averaged 1.2 points, 1.5 rebounds and 5.1 minutes per game while shooting 50 percent (12-of-24) from the field and 75 percent (12-of-16) from the free-throw line. He had seven blocks, six steals and five assists.
Before transferring to Clemson for the 2024-25 campaign, Reeves spent two seasons at Duke.
While a member of the Blue Devils, Reeves played in 13 games during his rookie season in 2022-23, including six in ACC play. The following season, he missed 13 games due to injury before undergoing right ankle surgery and being ruled out for the remainder of the season.
In limited action (16 career games) at Duke, Reeves was 10-of-14 from the floor and totaled 25 points with 18 total rebounds, including 10 on the offensive glass.
Reeves is a former four-star prospect out of Oak Hill (Va.) Academy. The Charlotte, N.C. native was ranked as the No. 5 player from the state of North Carolina in the 2022 recruiting class by ESPN. In 29 games at Oak Hill, he averaged 9.2 points and 7.4 rebounds.
Reeves becomes Clemson’s sixth transfer portal departure since the 2024-25 season came to an end in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, joining forward Asa Thomas, guard Del Jones, forward Chauncey Wiggins, forward/center Jackson Roberts and guard Jake Heidbreder.
