Former Clemson Tiger Re-Enters Transfer Portal

RJ Godfrey’s tenure at Georgia lasted just one season.

Less than a year after officially signing with the Bulldogs, Godfrey entered the transfer portal again.

The 6-foot-10 forward spent his first two seasons at Clemson before joining Georgia for his junior year. Godfrey started all 33 games for the Dawgs this season, averaging 6.4 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. He shot 53% from the floor and was arguably the best defender on the team.

During his final season with the Tigers as a sophomore, Godfrey averaged 6.1 points and 3.4 rebounds while shooting nearly 60% from the floor. He was the team’s leading scorer off the bench and played a key role in Clemson’s run to the Elite Eight a year ago.
