A national outlet recently weighed in on 2025 ACC win totals, breaking down the over/under win totals for all 17 football teams in the conference.
The over/under win total for Clemson at FanDuel Sportsbook is 9.5, and CBS Sports is picking the over on that number for the Tigers.
CBS Sports’ Chip Patterson gave his prediction for all 12 games on Clemson’s regular season schedule, picking the Tigers to win every game but two — their final ACC regular season game (at Louisville on Friday, Nov. 14), and the annual rivalry finale against South Carolina (in Columbia on Nov. 29). Clemson suffered home losses to both Louisville and South Carolina last season.
Of course, if Patterson’s predictions turn out to be right, that would mean a 10-2 record (7-1 ACC) for Clemson this season.
Here’s what Patterson had to say in his analysis of Clemson’s 2025 schedule:
“This Clemson team brings back a ton of the key pieces from last year’s ACC championship and College Football Playoff team, plus an upgraded staff with the addition of Tom Allen as defensive coordinator. Cade Klubnik in Year 3 with Garrett Riley is going to be on all of the relevant preseason watch lists, and the Tigers are a deserved favorite to win the league again in 2025. We’ve handed a couple losses out in this projection to coaches and teams who got the better of Clemson last season, but this is a comfortable over with the potential to ladder up to 11 wins or more.”
Clemson (10-4, 7-1 ACC in 2024) heads into the 2025 campaign hoping to win its ninth ACC title in 11 seasons, make the College Football Playoff for the second straight season, and ultimately capture the program’s first national championship since 2018.
After four previous postseason meetings, Clemson and LSU will meet one another in regular season play for the first time in history when the ACC’s Tigers welcome the Bayou Bengals to Memorial Stadium for the 2025 season opener on Saturday, Aug. 30.
