Clemson Lands Huge Portal Commitment

Clemson has landed its first big portal target.

Former Nevada forward, Nick Davidson, has committed to Clemson, choosing the Tigers over Virginia, Notre Dame, Washinton and Texas. One of the top big men in the portal, Davidson visited last weekend.

The former Nevada star averaged 15.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game last season as a junior. He also shot 37% from the three-point line. The 6-foot-10 talent is rated as the No. 12 overall prospect in the portal this offseason, and he is the top center available.

As a sophomore, Davidson scored 12.2 points while pulling down 7.3 rebounds per contest. He shot 55% from the field.

With Ian Schieffelin and Viktor Lakhin both out of eligibility, Brad Brownell needed to add some size back to his roster, as well as replace that lost production. Landing one of the top bigs in the portal is a huge first step in the right direction.
