CLEMSON — Fletcher Turk made his first visit to Clemson during the spring.
The 2026 offensive lineman (Hebron Christian, Dacula, GA) got a visit from Matt Luke earlier in the year during the contact period, with the Tigers’ offensive line coach attending one of his basketball games. Turk then quickly started making plans for his first campus visit.
It was a visit that really made an impression.
“The development, the facilities. I’ve never seen anything so nice in my life,” Turk told The Clemson Insider. “Just also the people, how godly they are and their foundations on God and faith. That’s really important to me. So I love that part about it.”
Not only did Turk get to take in a spring practice, but he also had dinner with Luke.
“That he likes me and to just keep working,” Turk said of Luke’s message to him. “Just keep the main thing, the main thing, you know what I mean. Basically, to keep developing. Keep your faith in God. Telling me who he was and what he was able to do. It’s really impressive, his resume.”
Georgia Tech was Turk’s first Power-4 offer, but Michigan State and Wake Forest both pulled the trigger last month.
“Obviously, Clemson does things differently,” Turkn added. “That’s why I love it, because I’m all about being different. So, if they take a little longer to offer, that’s okay with me. I’ll wait.”
Georgia Tech and Troy have also gotten spring visits. Wake Forest is also set to get one. Turk has also already set up an official visit with Georgia Tech that will take place in May, and he is hoping to get back to Clemson for the season opener against LSU.
“It would mean the world,” Turk said. “Obviously I would consider it with all of my other offers, but it’s really important to me that a college with that type of resume, that type of history, would offer me. That is what I have grinded for since I was six years old.”
