One wide receiver prospect Clemson fans should watch out for in the future is Greensboro (N.C.) Dudley’s Michael Wyman.

The rising sophomore in the class of 2020 is hitting the college football recruiting scene, and on Tuesday, he visited Clemson for the first time.

Wyman was taken on a tour of the campus and facilities by former Clemson punter Andy Teasdall. He also spent time with area recruiter Robbie Caldwell after Clemson’s offensive line coach returned to campus from Dabo Swinney’s media golf outing.

“I had a very, very good time,” Wyman said. “Being there is nice. I didn’t get to meet all the coaches there, but talking to coach Caldwell and having a former player walk me around the campus and stuff — just being around the people was real nice, and the campus was also nice.”

Seeing Clemson’s football operations center was one of the highlights for Wyman.

“It’s nice,” he said. “One of my favorite parts was coming in and seeing the championship trophy.”

Schools such as Alabama, Auburn, N.C. State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia Tech are showing early interest in Wyman, who stands at 6-foot-5, 190 pounds.

“They like my grades, for one,” he said. “That’s the first thing, and my size and speed.”

Caldwell let Wyman know the Tigers are looking at him, as well.

“He was just telling me that he was interested in me and he likes me,” Wyman said.

Before heading to Clemson, Wyman visited Alabama and Auburn on Monday. He hopes to return to Clemson for a game in the fall.

Wyman transferred to Dudley High, where Clemson defensive end Chris Register hails from. As a freshman at Northern Guilford, he recorded 21 receptions for 281 yards and three touchdowns.
