CLEMSON — Florida State rallied from 10-points twice in the first half and then used a 56-yard fumble return for a touchdown by Kalen DeLoach near the end of the third quarter and a 23-yard Jordan Travis to Keon Coleman pass in overtime to defeat the Tigers 31-24 Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
Clemson had an opportunity to take the lead with 1:45 to play in regulation, but kicker Jonathan Weitz missed a 30-yard field wide left.
The Seminoles, who snapped Clemson’s seven-game win streak in the series, got the ball first in the extra period and after a two-yard gain on first down, Travis threw a jump ball to Coleman, who made a catch over corner Jeadyn Lucas, who was playing for an injured Nate Wiggins. He also threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Will Shipley.
