SEC Coach Calls Out Clemson for Stealing Signals

On Thursday, Bobby Petrino held his first press conference as the new offensive coordinator at Arkansas. During the presser, he was asked about the Michigan sign-stealing scandal.

Petrino, the former Louisville head coach, proceeded to call out Clemson and said the Tigers always used to steal signals on the sideline.

“I don’t know anything about, you know, Michigan and what they did or any of that. I honestly didn’t pay any attention to it,” Petrino said. “But I do know when you went and played Clemson, that they were going to have your signals.”

“They had guys on the sidelines standing there with a sheet of paper with your signals on it, and that was tough,” Petrino added.

Petrino, who served as Louisville’s head coach from 2014-18, went 0-5 against Clemson as the Cardinals’ head coach.
