Sapp says Clemson Offense will be Explosive

CLEMSON – Clemson returned to spring practices at the Poe Indoor Practice Facility in Clemson on Monday.

Following practice, the media got a chance to speak with tight end Josh Sapp. Here are a few of the topics Sapp was asked about.

Sapp touched on how the spring has been so far: “Getting a lot of more opportunities out there… definitely the offense is becoming more explosive. I am trying to become a better leader on this team as well, but the spring has been going smooth.”

On the growth of the offense Sapp said, “We are definitely a threat you know in space… the big thing I have been trying to work on this spring is just being dominant in the box as well with the blocking game. So, trying to bring both of those together to become a great tight end.”

A lot of talk has been about Cade Klubnik’s growth so far. “The number one thing I can say is we got a lot of guys that are back healthy now, so I mean getting Antonio back… Cade just keeps becoming that great leader that we need for us man pushing us and making the right throws man, just leading us through the spring and everybody coming together and clicking,” said Sapp.

On new freshman Bryant Wesco and how he has impacted the offense so far since getting to Clemson. “Wesco, he has been doing good this spring man, just being explosive man. He is that deep threat we need… making plays out there”
