Former Clemson Player Finds New College Home

A former Clemson Tiger has found his newest college home.

Offensive lineman Zack Owens has committed to Mississippi State.

This will be his third college in as many years, as he played at Clemson in 2023 and Colorado in 2024.

Owens first entered the transfer portal in April 2024 after playing 13 offensive snaps in two games while redshirting in his first and only year at Clemson in 2023.

After transferring to Colorado, the 6-foot-6, 345-pounder played in 10 games during the 2024 season, primarily on special teams. He was a member of the Buffaloes’ field goal/PAT team for 51 snaps and saw the field for 11 offensive snaps.

Owens is a former four-star and top-200 national prospect in the 2023 recruiting class from Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy (McDonough, Ga.).
