4-star DE receives offer from Clemson

Mineral (Va.) Louisa County 2019 four-star defensive end Brandon Smith announced on social media Monday night that he has received an offer from Clemson.

Smith (6-3, 218) also has offers from Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Louisville, Maryland, North Carolina, N.C. State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and others.

Smith made his first visit to Clemson in March for the Tigers’ junior day.

TCI recently spoke with him about Clemson.

“Great program of course,” Smith said. “Family environment, facilities are top notch. An offer from Clemson would be a great offer from the defending national champions. It would be an honor to get an offer.”

As a sophomore last season, Smith logged 75 tackles, including 10 tackles for loss, and six sacks.
