Palmetto State’s Top 2025 Prospect commits to Clemson

Clemson’s strong recruiting weekend to open December continued with the second commitment in two days. The Tigers have turned their focus to the 2025 class and it’s paying off quickly.

Four-star defensive lineman Amare Adams announced he’s committing to Clemson via X (formerly Twitter). He held 15 Power-5 offers but it came down to the Palmetto State rivary between the Tigers and South Carolina. The same team that won the matchup in 2023 came out on top in his recruiting.

Adams has visited Tiger Town a multitude of times, and received a Clemson offer during his trip for the Dabo Swinney Camp weekend. He later visited for the Florida State game and the relationship only grew. Adams even wore the Paw in his 4-A state championship game, teasing the decision early.

The 6-foot-3, 290 pound specimen is the Tigers’ sixth commitment in the 2025 class and he’s ranked as one of, if not the top recruit in S.C. across multiple sites. Defensive line is a position set to go through a changing of the guard, and Adams’ pledge helps secure the future up front.
