Portal Target Commits Elsewhere
By: jasonpriester May 6, 2024

Clemson was on tap to get a visit from former San Diego State forward Elijah Saunders this week.

That visit will not take place now, as Saunders committed to Tony Bennett and Virginia late Monday.

Saunders was a late portal entry and had taken a visit to Washington late last week before visiting Virginia this weekend. The big man averaged averaged 6.2 points and 3.6 rebounds last season for the Aztecs.

With Saunders committing elsewhere, that still leaves Brad Brownell and the Tigers looking for one more addition from the portal to help offset the loss of All-ACC standout PJ Hall to the NBA Draft.
